The Strategist’s Manifesto

Today and every day, I crave understanding. For the phantom logic with which the world rotates to avail itself to me. Unfortunately, there is no one handbook. No singular guide to our globe. Nothing for me to consume to finally understand.

But, there is a discipline. A way of navigating with eyes agaze to the inner workings. For me, it is strategy. My regular attempt to uncover what, why, and how things shift, shape, and continue to change.

In this way, I have observed a few truths—

01—Optimism is an edge. Choosing light in a world often plagued by darkness is the easiest way to make our short time here worthwhile.

02—Business problems are human problems, professionally dressed. Fortunately for us, ancient texts contain clues to the issues we continue to encounter.

03—Quality solutions reveal an intuitive architecture: they rhyme with the past, direct the present, and illuminate the future. They also tend to be the simplest, besides our best efforts to complicate them.

04—Ideas are powerful, but alignment makes them unstoppable. Take the time spent to create a good idea, triple it, and consider that the runway to make it real.

05—Provocative decisions are rarely made because of data. Data is a representation of the current state, not the untouched spaces, remember that and trust your gut.

While I’m comfortable not knowing why and how the world works, I’ll never stop trying to understand.

I ’ll work to connect the world behind my eyes with the world that awaits my next step.

I’ll study to understand why the underground, the elusive, and the misunderstood continue to emerge.

I’ll do my best to fall in love with the questions more often than my answers.

Welcome to the Strategist’s mind.
